The Schlaining Picture Archive is an open, non-commercial archive. Everyone can view the content. With a free account you can upload pictures, describe them, comment and answer questions.
2. Your contributions
- You only upload content for which you hold the necessary rights (taken by yourself, in your own possession with the permission of the rights holders, or in the public domain).
- You respect people's right to their own image: if living people can be recognised, you obtain their consent.
- You grant the archive the simple, free, unlimited right to show the contribution in the archive, to provide it in various sizes and to use it for exhibitions of the municipality [scope to be legally reviewed]. All other rights remain with you. In addition, you can choose an open licence (CC BY / CC BY-SA).
- You can edit, replace or delete your contributions at any time.
3. What is not allowed
Insults, hate speech, glorification of violence or of National Socialism, pornographic content, advertising and spam, publishing private data (phone numbers, addresses) and content that infringes the rights of others. Historical pictures from the Nazi era may be shown for documentation purposes if they are placed in a factual context.
4. Review and moderation
Contributions are reviewed before publication (partly automatically, by people in case of doubt). We may reject, edit or remove contributions and will give our reasons. You can appeal against decisions.
5. Reports and removal (notice and takedown)
If you notice an infringement of copyright or personality rights, or if you are a relative and want a picture removed, use “Report content” on the object or write to [contact email]. We confirm receipt, review the report within 7 days and block the content immediately in case of obvious infringements.
